Alvin Lamar Worthy, better known as Westside Gunn, is a Buffalo, New York-based rapper whose unreleased album “PEACE “FLY” GOD” was allegedly leaked online.
To launch his next project, PEACE “FLY GOD,” Westside Gunn took to Twitter and Instagram in the previous several weeks. A delay in his return from France was eventually acknowledged by him, though.
To keep you all waiting, “I guarantee you I’m just fuckin Paris up and I haven’t had time to mix and master in the United States yet, but I’m a drop this song in the next few days to keep you all going.”
PEACE “FLY” GOD will arrive sooner than expected, according to the Buffalo musician, who sent an update to his Instagram account yesterday (July 3) to share with his followers. He also hinted that the new record would be a precursor to the release of his next official album:
Since returning to the United States, my homies have descended on my home and finished mixing and mastering the tape. In order to maintain the grime, I’m releasing it on Friday, no questions asked… Since it was made in only two days, it’s not an album, but rather an art piece developed just for MICHELLE RECORDS.
Hitler Wears Hermes 8: Sincerely Adolf, a Westside Gunn album from last year, had 13 songs and guest appearances from artists such as Stove God Cooks, Mach-Hommy, Lil Wayne, Boldy James, and (of course) Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher from Griselda. Hitler Wears Hermes 8: Side B, released a month later, had 20 brand-new tracks. Following his appearances on Kanye West’s “Keep My Spirit Alive Pt. 2” and Russ’ “Salute,” he has contributed bars to several more tracks.
