Stephen Curry has another triumph to celebrate after winning the NBA Championship in 2022.
The four-time NBA champion is no stranger to triumph. Steph has won another title, reminding us of his prowess months after capturing the 2022 NBA Championship finals trophy. On Wednesday, the Golden State Warrior attended a one-man graduation ceremony at his alma mater, Davidson College. Curry attended North Carolina University from 2006 until 2009, the same year he was chosen by the NBA.
When Curry was there, he was also recognized for his athletic achievements. Davidson’s No. 30 was retired as part of the event. He was the school’s first player whose jersey was retired.
“Davidson College is where it all started for me, and it no doubt prepared me for leadership and service,” the eight-time All-Star said in a video. “I will be eternally thankful to the whole Davidson community for their steadfast support.”
This summer, Steph’s alma institution created the Curry Family Women’s Athletics Initiative with the purpose of “helping lessen the injustice gap in women’s athletics.”
The NBA star expressed his support for the project, saying, “The reason I am who I am today is also because of the strong, powerful women that have poured into my life all these years.” As the parent of two daughters, I want them to grow up with no limits on their prospects, according to Notjusthiphop.
