American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Paul Gray, Slipknot unreleased new 2022 album “The End, So Far” leaked online.

The band released “The Dying Song (Time to Sing)” before the album. Slipknot drummer Michael Shawn Crahan (aka “Clown”) directed the video. The video begins with spooky shots of a masked person in a dark crowd. The band plays in a room with mirrors and strobe lights. Downcast.
The band tours. Slipknot’s North American tour begins in September in Nashville. Ice Nine Kills and Crown the Empire will support. The band will tour Texas and the Southwest before playing the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento and the Fivepoint Amphitheatre in Irvine.
The End, So Far is Slipknot’s seventh album. Joe Barresi produced the album.
The band released Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat on October 31, 1996. Sid Wilson, Joey Jordison, Paul Gray, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Shawn “Clown” Crahan, Mick Thompson, and Corey Taylor are Slipknot’s best-known members. They changed lineups before settling on this group.
Their 1999 self-titled debut album gained them a lot of attention. “Wait and Bleed” and “Spit it Out” were hit singles. After Iowa, they released Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses (2004), All Hope Is Gone (2008), and 5: The Gray Chapter (2014). (2015). (2019). Their records have sold millions worldwide.
Paul Gray, the band’s bassist and founder, died in 2010. Gray’s death reduced the likelihood that Slipknot would release new music. Slipknot recorded their fifth album in 2013.
Joey Jordison left the band on December 12, 2014. Jordison had transverse myelitis in 2016. (which affected his nerves and left him unable to play the drums).
