American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Paul Gray, Slipknot unreleased new song “Adderall” off “The End, So Far” album leaked online.
The End, So Far is Slipknot’s seventh album. Barresi produced the album. Roadrunner will release We Are Not Your Kind’s sequel on September 30.
“The Dying Song (Time to Sing)” was released before the album. Michael Shawn Crahan directed the video (aka “Clown”). The video begins with a masked figure in a dark crowd. The band performs with strobe lights and mirrors. Downcast.
Touring band. September brings Slipknot’s North American tour to Nashville. Ice Nine Kills and Crown the Empire will support. The band will tour Texas and the Southwest before playing in Sacramento and Irvine.
1996’s Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat was released. Sid Wilson, Joey Jordison, Paul Gray, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Shawn “Clown” Crahan, Mick Thompson, and Corey Taylor are Slipknot’s best-known members. Before settling on this lineup, they tried others.
Their 1999 self-titled album was popular. “Spit it Out” and “Wait and Bleed” were hits. Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses (2004), All Hope Is Gone (2008), and Vol. 5: The Gray Chapter followed Iowa (2014). 2015 (2019). Their albums have sold millions.
Founder and bassist Paul Gray died in 2010. Slipknot may not release new music after Gray’s death. 2013 marked Slipknot’s fifth album.
Joey Jordison quit on 12/12/2014. Jordison has transverse myelitis. This hurt his nerves and prevented him from playing drums.
