American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983, comprising vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist John Frusciante, Red Hot Chili Peppers unreleased new album titled “Return of the Dream Canteen” leaked online.
Red Hot Chili Peppers’ second 2022 album will be called Return of the Dream Canteen.
The band announced a surprise follow-up to Unlimited Love on Saturday night at Denver’s Empower Field.
Flea said, “Four months ago, we put out an album, but now we have a double album.” Two sets of two albums. The double album “Unlimited Love” came out in April.
Flea said that “Tippa My Tongue” is the first single and that “Return of the Dream Canteen” will be out on October 14.
Soon after that, the Chili Peppers’ social media accounts were updated, and fans could preorder Rick Rubin’s double LP.
“We tried to find the band we’ve been all along. We had fun by singing old songs. RHCP said this about the new album: “We started writing new songs right away.”
“It helped us a lot that we got along well. Once we found that slipstream between sound and vision, we looked into it more. We had no reason to stop writing and playing music when time became flexible. It was weird.
Since 2006’s double album Stadium Arcadium, this is the band’s first album with guitarist John Frusciante.
“We had too many songs because of our moody love for each other and the magic of music,” they said. “We understand. Two double albums came after that. Just as important as the first is the second. Everything we wanted is in Return to the Dream Canteen. Full.
Their music is a mix of alternative, funk, punk, hard, hip hop, and psychedelic rock.
