After three years, Prodigy’s solo catalog is available on streaming services.
P’s discography includes H.N.I.C. and its two successors, The Bumpy Johnson Album in 2012 and Hegelian Dialectic (The Book of Revelation) in 2017, as well as Albert Einstein with The Alchemist in 2013 and Young Rollin Stoned with Boogz Boogetz in 2014.
Only his 2007 Alchemist collaborations Return of the Mac and Product of the 80s were permitted to stream due to legal disputes between the late artist’s estate and former partners.
The estate agreed to a management and distribution deal with L. Londell McMillan of The NorthStar Group and ADA of Warner Music Group.
The rapper’s estate has also announced the release of a new album, The Hegelian Dialectic: The Book of Heroine. According to Billboard, ‘You Will See’ will be published on June 10.
“We are enormously grateful to all the fans for understanding the circumstances that our family had to professionally manage at a time of sorrow, and for the amazing expressions of support we received from many of you,” the estate said in a statement. “We’d also want to thank the hip-hop community for their assistance in constructing Prodigy’s last efforts.” We are delighted to make the music available once again and for all time.
The third Hegelian Dialectic album, The Book of the Dead, is slated for 2023. Another Mobb Deep album is on the way.
