American rapper, Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, known professionally as YoungBoy Never Broke Again aka NBA YoungBoy unreleased new song “I Don’t Talk” reportedly leaked online.
DJ Akademiks shared a snapshot of a text exchange he had with YoungBoy earlier this week. NBA may be nearing the end of his rap career, according to the blogger.
YoungBoy seems to have let someone to hear a new song, and that person informed him, “So far, I’m digging this one. Are we going to videotape this? You’re aware that we’re at the top.” It took the rapper many hours to respond.
YoungBoy stated: “Say I’m not interested in rap anymore. I’m done after this album. I’ll be OK as long as my family remains united.” Fans are startled, particularly because YoungBoy is now at the peak of his game. Even while he said that he was done, he did not state that he would never return if the external forces were removed.
When he was 14, YoungBoy began composing songs and producing music. Life Before Fame, his debut mixtape, was released in April 2015.
YoungBoy rose to prominence after releasing the releases Mind Of A Menace 3, Before I Go, and 38 Baby, but it was his popular song “38 Baby” that garnered the most notice.
Young Boy was arrested on November 28, 2016, shortly after the release of “38 Baby,” and charged with two charges of attempted second-degree murder in connection with a drive-by shooting on November 7, 2016. After spending six months in jail, YoungBoy was sentenced to 10 years in prison, which was suspended.
When YoungBoy was freed from prison, he released “Untouchable,” which became one of his greatest singles. After the release of “Untouchable,” YoungBoy released AI YoungBoy on August 4, 2017.
Later, YoungBoy released Ain’t Too Long towards the end of 2017, followed by his first studio album, Until Death Call My Name, at the start of 2018.
In recent years, YoungBoy has released more successful songs such as “Drawing Symbols,” “Lil Top,” “House Arrest Tingz,” and “Around.” These songs can be found on albums such as AI Youngboy II, Still Flexin’, Still Steppin’, and Top.
The rapper was detained on March 25, 2021, by the FBI because he had an outstanding federal warrant from 2016 for drug and firearm offences. While YoungBoy was in prison, his team released his third studio album, Sincerely, Kentrell, on September 24, 2021. It was planned to be released in May of that year. YoungBoy was released from prison on October 22 after paying a $500K bail. In Utah, he is presently under house arrest.
YoungBoy collaborated with Birdman, who is also from Louisiana, to release From The Bayou, a collaborative mixtape, at the end of 2021. The mixtape charted at number 19 on the Billboard 200.
In songs like “Bring the Hook” and “Fish Scale,” YoungBoy would begin 2022 by bashing King Von. These tracks will appear on YoungBoy’s 18th mixtape, Colors, which will debut at number two on the Billboard 200.
Later that year, around a month later, YoungBoy became embroiled in a viral spat with Chicago rapper Lil Durk. They both created diss tracks regarding King Von’s death, one called “AHHH HA” and the other “I Hate YoungBoy.”
Following his hurried start to 2022, YoungBoy collaborated with DaBaby to create the mixtape BETTER THAN YOU, which was released in March. Later, at number 10, the mixtape would achieve its greatest rank on the Billboard 200. This is YoungBoy’s eighth top ten.
On April 1, 2022, YoungBoy would release The Last Slimeto Sampler. This was a preview CD for his next album The Last Slimeto, which would be released in August. This would be YoungBoy’s last album for Atlantic Records.
Between 2015 and 2017, YoungBoy released six independent mixtapes and steadily garnered a cult following through his work. In late 2017, Gaulden was signed to Atlantic Records.
