American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record executive, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., known professionally as Lil Wayne, premiered the new single, “Cameras” when he released an updated version of his Sorry For The Wait mixtape on January 7th.
“Cameras” was one of 4 new songs on the project. The song also introduces fans to a new Young Money artist by the name of Allan Cubas. To start February we have the Lil Wayne Cameras music video featuring Allan.
2022 is set to be another busy year for Lil Wayne, with Collegrove 2, I Am Not A Human Being III, Dedication 7 and Tha Carter VI all rumoured to be in the works for him. With Wayne’s work ethic, it’s really not out of the question that we would get all four before 2023, but more than likely two of the four will drop at some point this year.
Of course, Weezy is fresh off of the release of his Sorry 4 The Wait mixtape on streaming services. It premiered with four new songs and today, Wayne drops off a video for one of them. It’s ‘Cameras’ with Allan Cubas which is produced by Pi’erre Bourne and was a fan favourite of the new batch of songs.
Lil Wayne teased the visual on instagram in the days leading up to the world premiere on Monday February 7th. He also shared some behind the scenes exclusives.
Wayne has been a bit more active in recent months so there may be a bigger project on the way. He appeared at the Three-6-Mafia vs Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Verzuz in December and that was two months after releasing a joint project with Rich The Kid. The Lil Wayne Cameras music video is just the next step of the journey.
Lil Wayne is regarded by many contemporaries as one of the most influential hip hop artists of his generation, and often cited as one of the greatest rappers of all time. Allan Cubas is a Honduran/American singer songwriter from the city of New Orleans.
