We’re just a few days away from hearing Latto’s new album, but there have been a few setbacks. The rapper will release 777 on Friday (March 25), but she stated in a recent interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood that she had difficulties finishing the album. “I’m cleaning my album right now, and dealing with these guys has been challenging,” she said. “They have no idea how to run a company.”
Latto claims that a guy featured on 777 was making things tough for her by refusing to reply to his flirtations through DM. “We put up with far too much,” she added. “We believe, ‘Oh, well, being a female rapper simply comes with the territory,’ but it shouldn’t.”
People have speculated as to who it may be, despite Latto’s refusal to release the person’s identify, claiming that it’s “bad for business” behind the scenes. Latto released the tracklist for 777 today, and many concluded that since Kodak Black was included, he was the one who was causing her problems.
Kodak talked freely about partnering with women in Rap during his visit to The Breakfast Club last month. He claims that he is obligated to have sex with them, even his own female artists. “It depends on how you guys vibin’ and sh*t,” Kodak said. “This is how it is, my female artists. I’ve had to smash n*ggas and stuff like that because I know who they are. They don’t have to be my girlfriend, but I’m going to bust them.”
Although Latto has not acknowledged that the Florida rapper was the perpetrator, fans have expressed their thoughts in the comment sections. Check out the tracklist for 777, which includes 21 Savage, Childish Gambino, Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, and Nardo Wick among others.
