American singer, songwriter, pianist, actor, and record producer, John Roger Stephens, known professionally as John Legend announced that his eighth studio album, “LEGEND”, will be released on September 8 by Republic Records.
Along with these things, he has also shown off the official album cover and written a note about what the title means. The singer says, “Until now, I’ve never used a part of my name as the title of an album.” “I had to live up to that by putting on a good show and making good music. This is me saying, “I’m proud of who I am, I’m sure of the work I’ve done, and I’m just going to say it.”
The upcoming project is a double album with 12 songs on each side. Legend and Ryan Tedder, a well-known producer and songwriter, are the project’s executive producers.
Some of the artists who appear on the album are Rick Ross, Muni Long, JID (on “Dope”), Rapsody, Ty Dolla Sign, Jhene Aiko, and Jazmine Sullivan. Saweetie is on the latest single, “All She Wanna Do,” along with the names above.
