There are reports that Dr. Dre has been working on his long-awaited new album Detox, which might be released shortly. Keeping historical trends in mind, we advise against having any expectations.
But it’s apparent that the wonderful doctor is doing his job. Dr. Dre is seen in the studio with Busta Rhymes, Dem Jointz, and other colleagues in an Instagram video boasting about his recent studio hustling, claiming that he produced roughly 247 tracks during the epidemic and then discussing producing Marsha Ambrosius’ whole new album. Last December, he unveiled the title, Casablanco.
“I recorded 247 songs during the epidemic, then we took a break and made an album with Marsha Ambrosius.” That’s f*cking ridiculous, that’s insane,” Dre said. “Then we returned… what did we do after that?” Oh, I did the Grand Theft Auto nonsense, and then we worked on… Snoop,”
Dre then revealed that he has already completed six songs for Snoop’s next album. “We’re two days in and have, what, six bangers done?” So, I’m not sure. I want to complete this sh*t before I start Busta Rhymes.”
Watch the video above. The renowned producer did not specify if the 247 tracks are his own or collaborations with others, but we’re guessing the latter.
