Cardi B is currently promoting her new track ‘Hot Sh*t,’ which was released yesterday night.
The rapper has given a few interviews in support of the Kanye West and Lil Durk-featured single, which has received mixed reviews from listeners. During her Power 105 interview with Angie Martinez, she discussed how the song came to be, stating that it has been sitting with her since 2019.
Cardi also spoke about her impending sophomore album, saying she’s apprehensive about it but that it’s just a handful of songs away from being done. She expressed a desire to create a major Pop song in the vein of the Diamond-certified ‘I Like It.’
The Bronx native also says she wants to collaborate on a mixtape with hubby Offset since she admires his rapping style. She is also working on a Spanish record for the Latin market.
“I do want to record a mixtape with my hubby when I finish this album because I adore how he raps,” she told Angie Martinez. “He can rap his a$$ off, and I’m a fan.” Then I’d want to record a Spanish album. I feel more pressure from that than anything else because the Latin world is so different… they want it, but I don’t believe it’s as simple as people think.”
