Cam’ron and A-song Trak’s “All I Really Wanted”
The Harlem great and the Montreal producer are working on a new record called “U Wasn’t There,” which will be released later this month.
Cam’ron is well-known for discussing initiatives that never materialize. He mentioned a Camdemic video that was intended to be released on July 4th of last year. Then there was The Program 2, which, like The Program, never made it to the big screen.
Cam’ron and A-Trak initially met in 2014, as you may recall. Damon Dash gathered them because he had an idea for a three-way cooperation including the Diplomats, Fool’s Gold, and Bluroc. Federal Reserve was also an EP, but only the first track, “Dipshits,” was ever published.
Today, the rapper officially unveiled his upcoming project, U Wasn’t There, a single he collaborated on with Montreal DJ A-Trak. The “Dipshits” pair released “All I Ever Wanted” earlier today. It’s jam-packed with samples and perfectly complements their vibe. Cam spends this time to reflect on his meteoric ascent to popularity and how individuals in the streets and in the rap industry crave money, power, and respect.
Cam’ron and A-upcoming Trak’s collaboration, U Wasn’t There, will be released on September 23. Check out their new track, “All I Ever Wanted,” below.
